The Form of Clouds is an arts-based health and well-being activity programme for 18-55yrs. Based at Perrott’s Folly and the Church of the Redeemer, we will be running weekly workshops led by professional artists. The workshops will allow participants to take a break from the pressures and challenges they are facing in daily life, express themselves freely and indulge their creativity in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Term One _ Animation will work with local animator Annette Bowery. She has over 20 years of experience in the industry working for Royal Shakespeare Company, ITV and the Birmingham Symphony Hall.
Over the course of a term (6 sessions) Annette will look at different types of animation from 2D line drawing to stop motion. Each week participants will explore principles of animation from squash and stretch to staging. By the end of the term, each participant will have the opportunity to create their own short, which will be shown as part of an exhibition later in 2020.
Fortnightly on Wednesday eve’s, 5:30 – 8pm at the Church of the Redeemer (from 8th Jan)
Term One _ Comic Arts will work with John McCrea, who is an internationally recognised Comic Artist who works for Marvel, DC and Image Comics.
Over the course of a term (6 sessions) participants will look a figurative drawing, inking and composition. An anthology of work will be produced to be printed at the end of the sessions.
Fortnightly on Sunday afternoons, 1:30 – 4pm at the Church of the Redeemer (from 8th Jan)
